AQUALYX

In our centers, medical professionals can perform treatments which help our patients avoid performing surgery (liposculpture) to solve their cellulite and/or localized fat problems. This treatment is performed with Aqualyx, a product which combined with ultrasound, cavitation (available in all Centros Único) provides excellent results.

Composition

AQUALYX is a water-based, micro-gelatinous solution containing a polymer of 3:6-Anhydro-l-galactose and D-galactose, buffer system, 3?, 12?-Dihydroxy-5?-24-oic Cholanic Acid Sodium Salt, injectable saline solution and sodium chloride.

ACTION

When AQUALYX is injected into the fatty tissue with a technique called intralipotherapy, a tumescence of the tissue is produced, allowing the ultrasound externally applied on the skin to produce a microcavitation in the area where the solution was injected by enhancing the drainage of fluids present in the treated area.

This protocol, called cavitational adipocitolisis, is indicated for nonsurgical reduction of fatty deposits located in the upper lateral thigh, which are also known as "saddle bags", the middle of the thigh, and the area around the knee and hips.

USAGE INDICATIONS

AQUALYX is a water-based, microgelatinous biocompatible and fully resorbable solution indicated for local treatment of fat cells through the cavitational adiposcitoisis protocol.

The area must be cleaned and disinfected properly before injecting the solution. Although there has been a high tolerance for this treatment, AQUALYX should never be injected in excess of 40 ml per session or 25 ml on a specific anatomical area.

Injections should be carried out exclusively with the intralipotherapy technique.

• If necessary, 0.2 ml of pure lidocaine (without epinephrine or any other vasoconstrictor) can be added to each AQUALYX vial.
• Based on objective clinical data, treatment should be made in intervals of 15 days or more.
• To ensure maintenance of the results obtained, we emphasize to patients the importance of follow-up visits a few months after treatment.
