On February 14, 2004 the Spanish Drug Agency authorized the use of botulinum toxin to eliminate facial wrinkles.
The use of botulinum toxin is restricted to the area above the eyebrows (at one centimeter distance), between the eyebrows and the areas where "crow’s feet" form, and may only be administered in registered centers.
Its use can only be carried out by qualified medical professionals who must pass a training course; all our practitioners have not only passed these courses but the maximum aesthetic medicine training and extensive experience in the sector.
It must be taken into account that botulinum toxin is not filler material, so it does not go after the wrinkle but looks for the muscle causing it, thereby paralyzing and eliminating its contraction. This is the toxin acting, relaxing the features and the wrinkle formation, by not having a filling effect but by eliminating the cause of their formation.
The toxin is active for approximately 3-4 months depending on the person; since it is a relatively painless procedure and performed with proper technique, it lacks any significant undesirable effects.
With this treatment, our patients will have the real possibility of seeing rejuvenation and how their faces become younger, with much fainter features that leave an elegant and luminous image.
